"Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” (Matthew 14:29b-30, NIV)

I don’t know about you, but often I fill like I am pulled in 100 different directions each and every day. Because of this, sometimes it is hard to keep my focus where it needs to be, and for us as Christians, our focus should be on Jesus.

In Matthew’s gospel, Matthew shares a time when Peter’s focus was on Jesus and how Peter could do something pretty amazing – walk on water, but as soon as he was distracted by the stuff going on around him he began to sink.

So, the question before us if you feel like you are beginning to sink then ask yourself – where is your focus?  Is it on Jesus or the stuff around you?  If it is not on Jesus, then change your focus.
