"So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it." (Colossians 3: 12-14, MSG)

I realize many of you are changing out your closets or buying new clothes since the season has changed – you know – replacing summer for fall clothing.

However, have you ever considered more important changes that might be needed  – like changes that need to be made in your life?

The Apostle Paul often compared spiritual changes in our life to like the changing of clothes – removing unhealthy qualities and attitudes and replacing them with (or putting on) characteristics that are pleasing to Christ.  The most important “garment” we are called to clothe ourselves with being love.

So, just as you are changing out your clothing, consider what changes you might also need to make in your life?
