"The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch." (Luke 2:10, NIV)

September 12, 2019

Did you ever wonder what’s in a name?

Well recently I had a friend bring me back a name plaque that shared with me the Celtic meaning of my name, and interestingly enough most of what it said my name meant actually pretty well described who I am.

I say this because did you ever consider what it means when we claim the name of Christ and we call ourselves Christians? You see, because being a Christian means that we are seeking to be like Jesus Christ. So, the question is, does the name Christian reflect who we are?

Therefore, I challenge us to consider this. If the name of Christian doesn’t match to who we are claiming to be, then let’s consider what changes might need to be made in our lives.
