“O taste and see that the LORD is good; happy are those who take refuge in him." (Psalm 34:8, NIV)

January 31, 2019

We are currently doing a sermon series from James W. Kemp’s book The Gospel According to Dr. Seuss with the next sermon being based on Suess’s Green Eggs and Ham. Now if you aren’t familiar with that book, then it is about this unnamed character who is convinced he does not like green eggs and ham – that is until he finally gives them a try….and guess what? He loves them.

I think something similar to that happens at times in some of our faith walks as perhaps we believe that this whole faith in Jesus thing at times just seems weird or a waste of time - that is until we give it a try – until we - in the words of the Psalmist “taste and see” and find that it is good…really good. In fact we come to find that this faith in Jesus thing is not only beneficial but it is life changing.

So, I invite you to spend some time getting to know Jesus and let him change your life and your world.
