Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. (John 15:4, NIV)
There is something important about remaining connected. For example, appliances and gadgets are wonderful. However, being disconnected from electricity they are just pieces of plastic and can’t serve their intended purpose. Jesus said, “Take a branch of a grape vine, if it is not connected to a living vine, then it will not be able bear fruit and it will die.”
I share this because it is important for us to remain connected in our faith walk as well.
Jesus said, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”
So let us spend the time that is necessary to remain (or maybe even get) connected to Jesus.
