The Huntington Court UMC Children's Ministry is committed to teaching, encouraging, and connecting the children of HCUMC. Our mission is to provide a safe, engaging, and Bible-based experience that will help grow the children of HCUMC into confident and fruitful disciples of Christ.

Sunday Service

We value your child and their discipleship. In Children's church, your child will develop lifetime connections, grow their faith, and create a foundation that they can build upon in their lifelong Christian walk.

Interested in Volunteering

The children's ministry needs volunteers. Please see the position description below and email smcenhimer@gmail.com to find out how you can serve.

 

Aide/ Room Monitor: (18yr old and up only must be a

member of HCUMC)
 

The aide position requires the adult to interact with a small group of children and has a 1.5-hour time commitment. 
Aide volunteers are expected to arrive at their post 15 minutes before the start of service and can leave their post at the completion of the service when all children have checked-out and the area has been disinfected.
Aide volunteers must have a desire to work with children and are expected to assist the teacher with games and activities.  Aides will also assist individual children as they have needs. This position may call for any number of tasks as a child has needs.  If a child has a need then the aide will see to it so that the teacher can continue teaching uninterrupted.

Children's Church

  • Join us in-person during the 11 AM service every Sunday.

  • Children's Church will include: activities, praise & worship, and a bible lesson appropriate for ages 5 to 11

Children's and Youth Ministries Coordinator

My name is Samantha McEnhimer. For seven years, I worked at Cameron Middle School in Nashville, TN as the Library Media Specialist.  I am also a Foster Parent, Children's Minister, and Author.  My first book was a self-published Christian education book for teens and young adults called Follow and Seek.

 

I am a graduate of the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA with a BA in English Literature and Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN with an MS in Library and Information Science. I became a licensed minister in December of 2017. 

 

I have always loved guiding young people. I worked as a children's ministry volunteer at Mt Zion Baptist Church Nashville, Christ Presbyterian Church in Brentwood TN, and Ascend Nashville.
